Privacy Policy

This page explains what information Rumi Home Inspections LLC collects through this website, how we use it, and who we share it with. We aim for plain language. If anything below is unclear or you want a copy of your data, contact us at team@rumiinspections.com.

What we collect

From the contact form: name, email, phone, property address, property type, square footage, requested services, preferred date, and any notes you choose to include. These are the fields you fill in directly.

Automatically: your IP address, browser user-agent, approximate geographic location (country, state, city) derived from the IP, and referral / UTM parameters indicating which marketing source brought you here. We do not collect precise GPS location.

Not collected: we do not ask for or store payment-card numbers (Stripe handles those directly), Social Security numbers, financial accounts, or government IDs.

How we use it

• Respond to your inspection request and schedule the appointment.
• Send you the inspection report and follow-up emails about your specific job.
• Measure which marketing channels actually deliver paying customers (so we don't waste ad spend on channels that don't).
• Comply with tax and recordkeeping obligations for completed jobs.

Who we share it with

We use a small set of vendors to run the website and the business. Each one only receives the data it needs for its role:

• Supabase — our database. Your form submission is stored here.
• Resend — sends transactional emails (request confirmation, the report itself).
• Stripe — handles any deposit or payment. We never see your card number.
• Google Analytics 4 — receives a hashed (one-way) version of your email and the marketing parameters of your visit, so we can attribute conversions to the right channel.
• Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — same hashed-email signal as Google, used only if we are running ads. The match is one-way; Meta cannot reverse the hash to learn your email.
• Vercel — hosts the website and proxies requests. Your IP transits Vercel's network the same way it transits your ISP.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with data brokers, lead aggregators, or affiliate networks.

Cookies & tracking

On first visit you'll see a small banner asking whether to enable analytics cookies. Until you choose, no Google Analytics or Meta scripts run. Essential cookies (session identifiers, idempotency keys that prevent duplicate form submissions) are always active — the site cannot function without them.

You can change your choice at any time by clearing the cookie-consent entry from your browser's site storage and reloading.

How long we keep it

• Lead form submissions: retained for the life of the customer relationship plus 7 years for tax/recordkeeping (NY business standard).
• Analytics events: Google Analytics retains for 14 months; Meta retains per their platform default. We do not store these on our servers.
• Marketing list: until you unsubscribe (every email has a one-click unsubscribe link).

Your rights

You can ask us, at any time, to:

• Send you a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct anything that's wrong.
• Delete your data — we'll do this within 30 days unless we're legally required to keep records (completed jobs).
• Opt out of marketing emails at any time (one-click unsubscribe).

Children

This site is intended for adults arranging inspections on real property. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy in a substantive way, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Minor wording fixes won't bump the date.
